How to save $ on print: Plan ahead (Tip #2)

Some clients wait until the last moment to order printing. They have a trade show on Friday and wait until Tuesday to place their print order. Because of the tight deadline, press schedules have to be changed, and ordering paper and supplies on short notice results in rush charges.

Advance planning can prevent all this.

Give yourself and your printer plenty of time to get things completed. The more complicated the project, the more time you need to allocate.

Not sure how long your project will take?

At D Media, we create a custom production schedule to meet your specific project needs. Here are a few issues to consider before placing your print order:

  • quantities
  • ink colors
  • press method (such as digital or offset)
  • paper stock
  • size of piece (# of pages/panels)
  • mailing requirements (if necessary)
  • in-hands date needed or drop mail deadline
  • your budget
